Paul and his associates provide consultant services for Parks, Sport, Recreation and Coastal facilities.

For this year some key topics to work on may be...

Your role in local infrastructure.

Hi, Paul here...Most kiwis have realised the value of recreation, leisure and natural experiences following the past few years.  As a proud sporting nation and birthplace of the worlds greatest adventurers, we are a proud nation.  So it is now, here at 2023 that the local facilities begin to come to the forefront of our thinking. in 2024 Councils across the country will update their 10 year plans, mostly named "Long Term Plans".  If you are a sporting organisation, a recreationalist or a community health inspirer, then you need to take steps to ensure your councils hear you.   Many Councils have set plans, you may even have projects already allocated in your area. It is a good time to do the work now, ahead of the councils draft plans so that you can be better informed on what to make submissions about.  Those submissions will be called in early-mid 2024.

Park Maintenance Performance Standards.

Maintenance is a major expense from facility providers. For the most part council contract  the maintenance service suppliers for the maintenance of parks and recreation facilities.  Performance standards actually differ across NZ, which is a part of the ability afforded local councils to determine the levels of service, the expected performance and the actual performance. I offer a taylor-made auditing service for assessment of the suppliers achievement of the maintenance standard set to them.  I am a senior and experienced Green Flag Award Judge and my extensive auditing and quality control experience provide principals with information and audited results about the state of the maintenance contracts.
